215 heritage Durga Pujas will obtain ₹ 1.10 lakh every, those within the second and third classes will get ₹ 75,000 and ₹ 50,000, mentioned the Tradition Minister
The BJP authorities in Odisha introduced that it’s going to present monetary help to Durga Puja committees as much as ₹ 1.10 lakh every.
Tradition Minister Suryabanshi Suraj mentioned on Saturday (October 4, 2025) that the choice was taken to advertise cultural heritage and help conventional festivities.
The committees have been divided into three classes – heritage Durga Pujas, Durga Pujas which can be 75 years outdated, and those which can be 50 years outdated, Mr. Suraj mentioned.
Whereas 215 heritage Durga Pujas will obtain ₹ 1.10 lakh every, those within the second and third classes will get ₹ 75,000 and ₹ 50,000, respectively, the Tradition Minister added.
Mr. Suraj mentioned there are 197 puja committees within the second class and 673 within the third.
A complete of 1,085 Durga Puja committees can be supplied the help, with the federal government spending ₹ 7.14 for it, Mr. Suraj mentioned.
