Benchmark inventory index Sensex rallied almost 450 factors whereas broader index Nifty closed above 26,000 degree on Friday (December 12, 2025) following shopping for in steel shares and optimistic international developments.

Rising for the second day, the 30-share Bombay Inventory Alternate (BSE) index, Sensex, climbed 449.53 factors or 0.53% to settle at 85,267.66. Through the day, it jumped 502.69 factors or 0.59% to 85,320.82.

The 50-share Nationwide Inventory Alternate (NSE) index, Nifty, surged 148.40 factors or 0.57% to 26,046.95.

Amongst Sensex companies, Tata Metal, Everlasting, UltraTech Cement, Larsen and Toubro, Maruti and Bharti Airtel have been the most important gainers.

Nevertheless, Hindustan Unilever, Solar Pharma, ITC and Asian Paints have been among the many laggards.

In Asian markets, South Korea’s Composite Inventory Worth Index (KOSPI), Japan’s Nikkei 225 index, Shanghai Inventory Alternate Composite index and Hong Kong’s Dangle Seng index settled in optimistic territory.

European markets have been quoting larger. U.S. markets ended largely larger on Thursday (December 11, 2025).

Brent crude, the worldwide oil benchmark, dipped 0.05% to $61.25 per barrel.

Overseas Institutional Traders (FIIs) offloaded equities value ₹2,020.94 crore on Thursday (December 11, 2025), whereas Home Institutional Traders (DIIs) purchased shares value ₹3,796.07 crore, in line with alternate information.
