Fairness benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended marginally decrease on Monday (December 15, 2025) in tandem with a weak pattern in world markets and chronic international fund outflows.

Additionally, uncertainty over an India-U.S. commerce deal weighed on buyers’ sentiment, analysts stated.

The 30-share BSE Sensex dipped 54.30 factors, or 0.06%, to at 85,213.36.

In the course of the day, the benchmark declined 427.34 factors, or 0.50%, to 84,840.32.

The 50-share NSE Nifty edged decrease by 19.65 factors, or 0.08%, to 26,027.30.

From the Sensex companies, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti, Adani Ports, Bajaj Finserv, Titan, and HDFC Financial institution have been among the many main laggards.

Nonetheless, Hindustan Unilever, Trent, HCL Tech, Asian Paints, and Tata Metal have been among the many gainers.

Overseas institutional buyers (FIIs) offloaded equities price ₹1,114.22 crore on Friday (December 12), whereas home institutional buyers (DIIs) purchased shares price ₹3,868.94 crore, in accordance with trade knowledge.

In Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei 225 index, Shanghai’s SSE Composite index and Hong Kong’s Grasp Seng index ended decrease.

“Persistent international fund outflows and a weak rupee have saved markets in a slender vary, with foreign money volatility is more likely to proceed till readability emerges on the India-U.S. commerce deal,” Vinod Nair, Head of Analysis, Geojit Investments Ltd., stated.

Brent crude, the worldwide oil benchmark, went up 0.15% to $61.21 per barrel.

On Friday (December 12), the Sensex climbed 449.53 factors, or 0.53%, to settle at 85,267.66. The Nifty surged 148.40 factors, or 0.57%, to 26,046.95.
