Chinese national Hu Congtai, who had entered Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir in violation of his visa stipulations, has been deported to Hong Kong, officers stated on Thursday (December 12, 2025).
“The Chinese language nationwide who was detained in Srinagar final week has been despatched to Delhi on the night of December 10 [Wednesday] for onward deportation to Hong Kong,” the officers stated.
Mr. Congtai, 29, arrived in Delhi on November 19 on a vacationer visa, which permitted him to go to Buddhist non secular locations in Varanasi, Agra, New Delhi, Jaipur, Sarnath, Gaya and Kushi Nagar.
Nonetheless, he boarded a flight to Leh on November 20 and didn’t register on the Foreigners Regional Registration Workplace counter situated on the Leh airport.
He was detained in Srinagar final week after arriving in Srinagar on a flight from Delhi on December 1.
