Two Indians, Thai girl held in Nepal with 4.3 kg cocaine

The Nepal police have arrested three overseas nationals, together with two Indians and a Thai nationwide, in two separate incidents in reference to possession of 4.3 kilogrammes of cocaine on Tuesday (December 24, 2025), officers mentioned.

In keeping with the officers, a Narcotics Management Bureau (NCB) staff from Koteshwar nabbed the overseas nationals, who arrived in Nepal by way of air route, from Kathmandu Metropolitan Metropolis-9, Sinamangal space. The Indian nationals Xavier Mathew Thaliachery, 55, and Mursalen Hussain, 21, have been arrested from Sinamangal space close to Kathmandu together with 3.75 kg cocaine. Hussain, who arrived in Kathmandu from Laos by way of Singapore was arrested on Tuesday (December 24, 2025) from the roadside at Singmangal, together with the narcotic drug.

Within the second incident, the NCB sleuths arrested Thai nationwide Rusanee Kama, 40, together with 550 gram cocaine in her possession. She had arrived in Kathmandu from Laos by way of Bangkok. Appearing on a tip-off, the sleuths arrested her throughout a particular operation at her resort at Singmangal. The police have recovered 12 plastic coated capsules containing cocaine from her room.

Preliminary probe revealed Rusanne swallowed 29 cocaine drugs to evade police arrest, which bought recovered after admitting her in a close-by hospital. Up to now, the police recovered 41 cocaine capsules in whole from her possession. The police have initiated authorized motion towards them in reference to the medication underneath the Narcotic Medicine Management Act 2033 B.S. taking them into judicial custody after securing permission from Kathmandu District Court docket.
